Zlatan Ibrahimovic calls France a “sh** country”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks to be in trouble again. He is player who has always worn his heart on his sleeve. Whether it was last week when he referred to the Chelsea players as “babies” or any number of crazy quotes, the player known simply as Zlatan says what he wants. So yesterday, when being filmed after PSG’s game against Bordeaux, Zlatan had this to say about the refereeing:

Not exactly the most petulant thing he’s ever done, but it’s certainly up there. I mean, he’s surely pissed off every football fan in France. I mean, what amount of crappy refereeing could even evoke such a response?

Oh. Wow. There are four refs involved in the game and none of them saw that blatant back pass? There have been complaints about EPL and MLS reffing this season, but that is up there for some of the worst. It’s still pretty ridiculous to say that France is lucky to see PSG on TV when you’re sitting 2nd in the table. Just sayin’, Zlatan.

He has since apologized but I think it’ll be a bit before the French really forgive him. He’ll probably be knighted by the English and receive commendations from the Germans by Tuesday.
