WATCH: Wild FA Cup semi features a saved de Gea PK, a Smalling own goal and Martial winner for Manchester United

While it appeared Manchester United was going to walk away with the win and a berth in the FA Cup Final, Everton came roaring back and got a little bit of luck to go along with things. But in the end, Manchester United prevailed and will head to the FA Cup Final.

First, Everton won a penalty after Timothy Fosu-Mensah fouled Ross Barkley in the box. Barkley was through on goal and Fosu-Mensah was beside him and kind of behind him but I felt the play was okay live and on the replay, it’s debatable as Fosu-Mensah won the ball on the second attempt but did clip Barkley from behind with his other leg.

Either way, Lukaku was the man to go and take the penalty but de Gea read it well and saved the penalty to keep Manchester United in the lead.

Just simply incredible play coming out of David de Gea. Do you know how good David de Gea is? When Romelu Lukaku stepped up to take a penalty kick to potentially equalize against Manchester United, you knew David de Gea was going to make the save.

But the penalty save didn’t last as someone was able to beat de Gea, his teammate Chris Smalling. Smalling slid and scored an own goal as he tried to clear the ball.

Going into the final few minutes, Everton had new life and both teams were going for broke to try and break the tie. But it was for naught because Anthony Martial scored the game winner in the 93rd minute and send Manchester United into the FA Cup Final against either Crystal Palace or Watford.
