VIDEO: Thanks to Pedro, Chelsea puts in best half of season, up 3-1 over West Brom

When Chelsea signed Pedro from Barcelona, I don’t even think they thought they were going to get these immediate dividends. Thanks to a goal and an assist in his debut, Pedro and Chelsea are up 3-1 over West Brom at halftime.

After a PK scare that was calmly saved by Thibaut Courtois, Pedro scored his first goal of his Chelsea career with a little deflection.

Then, Pedro showed his passing abilities as he slid it to Diego Costa to make it 2-0.

After a pretty great West Brom goal by James Morrison put the margin back within one, Cesar Azpilicueta put it back to two with his first goal to put Chelsea in the lead 3-1 at half.

It’s still early and there’s still another half that needs to be played but this is a great start by Chelsea. They certainly look like they’re getting themselves back and those first two weeks were an anomoly. Also helps that their new player made the biggest contribution to the game.
