VIDEO: Hull City scores zany goal to lead Manchester City

Hull City needs points. They are currently in the relegation zone sitting in 18th and have spent a lot of money (by Hull’s standards) last summer getting great players and not seeing much return on investment. While it wasn’t pretty, Hull was able to score in this mess of a play.

First, you had the bad clearance from City as Joe Hart left his position to get the ball. Joe Hart, now out of position, did his best to block the first shot. The clearance went back to Hull who, after a couple bounces between City players, got the shot off but hit the post. The ball rebounded back to David Meyler, who finally got the goal. It was a mess of a goal and I still have no clue how Hull was able to do it but they didn’t give up on the play and that’s key in a broken up play like this. They have the lead 1-0 at the half in Manchester against Manchester City.
