VIDEO: Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel Gets Bloodied, Scores Equalizer Late In Stoppage Time Against Arsenal

This Liverpool/Arsenal game began and ended with Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel. After being kept down by Mathieu Debuchy for the first goal on a free kick header, Skrtel would be bloodied after an accidental stop on the back of his head by Olivier Giroud.

After a 2nd Arsenal goal that made Skrtel look lost in the box, Skrtel used his busted head and drove a header home late into his own injury time to get the equalizer for the 10 man Liverpool side.

Seeing this game, I think if there was a way to give both teams no points, I would be for that. Arsenal looked horrible and couldn’t connect a pass but were able to score twice and Liverpool couldn’t make Arsenal pay early on when they had all those chances and only were able to score twice. Either way, if either team wants to play in Champions League next year, they MUST get better. No fan of either team should be proud of the performance today.
