Celtic are a team that are capable not only of being exciting to watch but also punching above their weight class, when they play at home. When they travel away from Celtic Park, especially in the UEFA Champions League, to Camp Nou of all places it doesn’t usually end well for them.
They did a good job of keeping things respectable in the first half, going into the halftime break trailing just 2-0 thanks to two Lionel Messi goals. That’s something that, frankly, happens to most teams who travel to the Nou Camp. But in the second half Barcelona turned it on. A free kick from Neymar, a spectacular finish from Iniesta, all before Messi completed his hat-trick. Suddenly the rout was on.
