VIDEO: Brek Shea’s free kick stunner vs. Switzerland

Brek Shea has seen his fair share of ups and downs, and most in the United States Men’s National Team fanbase have been wondering who the real Shea was. Even more mystery came on Tuesday, as Shea surprised not only Switzerland but the rest of the soccer public with a free kick goal straight out of the best we’ve seen in the world.

As the halftime whistle was approaching, Shea stepped up to take a free kick in a scoreless draw. After a perfect strike the USMNT were up 1-0 and Shea’s very vocal Twitter critics were caught more off guard than the Swiss goalkeeper.
