Manchester City had held the lead throughout their game against Swansea. Since Wilfried Bony’s goal in the 26th minute, Man City had been in control. Swansea wanted to get a result to turn around their issues that got legend Garry Monk sacked.
Swansea left it late and waited to equalize in the 90th minute. Bafetimbi Gomis got behind Eliaquim Mangala on the pass and although he struck the ball at a tough angle, the amount of power from his shot was just too much for Joe Hart and Swansea equalized. It seemed as if Manchester City would give up two more points that they already couldn’t possibly afford to lose.
But Man City scared their fans for only two minutes. What seemed like a light at the end of Swansea’s troubles and thinking they were getting a point away against a title contender, ended up with darkness as Manchester City put up a late winner. Yaya Toure shot in the box and with a deflection, the backspin on the ball perfectly looped over Lukasz Fabianski and got Manchester City the win 2-1.

The win puts Manchester City provisionally in 1st place while Swansea remains in 15th place. Swansea’s Twitter account said it all when it comes to the change of emotion from happiness to despair.
