Former Leicester City and current BBC Radio announcer Steve Claridge had a bit of a tongue-in-cheek argument with partner Ian Dennis as Claridge complained that Dennis was taking up too much space in the broadcasting booth during the Leicester City/Manchester City game.
This seemed like the argument was more on the banter side and not like an actual argument. It seemed like it was something entertaining to talk about as they passed the time sitting through a scoreless game. To be fair to Claridge and Dennis, Leicester City and Manchester City had themselves a pretty good game. Even though it ended 0-0, both teams had great chances and attacked at various points of the game.
But having said that, Claridge may have a point. Some EPL stadiums seem like they’re incredibly cramped. Just look at this pic of Arlo White, Graeme Le Saux and the NBC crew getting closer together at Stamford Bridge. There really isn’t that much space in the broadcasting box, or the gantry, at some of these EPL stadiums.
