WATCH: Alex Morgan scores incredibly awesome goal in SheBelieves Cup Final

The United States Women’s National Team won the first ever SheBelieves Cup that pit the USWNT between three of the five best teams in the world in Germany, England and France.

In the final and title clinching game, the USWNT won 2-1 over Germany thanks in part to Alex Morgan scoring an incredibly difficult goal.

The degree of difficulty here is staggering. It’s difficult to score this kind of goal without having a defender on you. But Morgan had to work this ball around German defender Saskia Bartusiak to score that. This proved to the equalizer and Samantha Mewis providing the winning goal.

With wins against the three top European teams, the United States head closer to the Olympics with a clearer understanding on who is going and how the team is going to do in Rio. There will surely be more games for the team going toward the summer.
