VIDEO: Timmy Chandler’s Golazo (Yes, Chandler) Gives USMNT 2-0 Lead

Timmy Chandler has been everybody’s favorite punching bag on the US Men’s National Team. He hasn’t been playing too well defensively and led people to wonder what dirt he has on Jurgen Klinsmann.

Then, to slightly paraphrase a Dumb and Dumber line, just when it seems as if he couldn’t get any worse, he does something like this and totally redeems himself.

The USMNT won 4-0 thanks to an own goal, a Clint Dempsey PK and a Chris Wondolowski tap in in this Gold Cup tuneup. Klinsmann and the coaching staff will make necessary adjustments for their first Gold Cup game against Honduras on Tuesday.
