Well this wasn’t the start of the English Premier League season everyone was expecting. The first goal of the EPL was scored by Mr. Own Goal and he leads the Golden Boot race.
This came about after Wayne Rooney had a tremendous amount of time to be wide open in the middle of the box. Once he got the cross, Rooney had enough time to take a touch. As he took that touch, Kyle Walker came blasting in to inadvertently knock the ball into his own net.
