In the first half of this West Brom/Chelsea game, it was nothing but smooth sailing from Chelsea. Now into the second half, things haven’t gone to plan.
John Terry was forced to bring down Salomon Rondon or else he would’ve been in on goal and as the last defender, he paid the ultimate price in receiving a red card. At least for Terry, he committed the fold right outside the box so that limited some of the damage but Chelsea would be down to 10 men and Terry will not be playing against Crystal Palace.
Despite the red card, Chelsea was still able to get the win. Even though James Morrison scored his second goal after Chelsea was down to 10, Chelsea still held on for the 3-2 win. So it wasn’t the most ideal way for Chelsea to pick up a win and get their season back on track. But in a rainy day in the Hawthorns, sometimes when you are given three points, you just take the points and don’t ask questions. Instead of asking questions, Chelsea may be using that time to spam Everton this week for John Stones.
