Apparently the offside rule is not being enforced as both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur scored goals that should have been called back for offside in the first half of their game.
The first goal, by Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne slipped through and scored on a great pass and great counterattack by Yaya Toure. It did appear that de Bruyne was offside but at least this one was a little bit debatable.

This goal however was not debatable as the initial pass before the cross was at least a couple yards offside.

Having said that, Manchester City really shot themselves in the foot by stopping and waiting for an offside call to allow Eric Dier to take advantage and score the equalizer. Yeah Manchester City, you are right, that’s offside. Play to the whistle like how you have been told to play since youth soccer and you would still be leading.
