It’s fair to say Liverpool have had their ups and downs, well just downs pretty much this season. This brilliant goal by Daniel Sturridge to put Liverpool up 2-0 surely got a lift out of the Anfield crowd.
While Sturridge’s goal is great and is certainly goal of the week material, the flick by James Milner to get the ball to Sturridge was simply remarkable. Could this team be on the turnaround?
Sturridge scored another great goal to make it 3-1 seconds after Aston Villa scored. And then Aston Villa scored another great goal of their own. Rudy Gestede put out a powerful header to put the score at 3-2. Great goals by both teams as they ended the game.
