Former MLS keeper kicks game winning field goal for San Diego Chargers

Josh Lambo, a former FC Dallas and USMNT U-20 goalkeeper, kicked the game winning Field Goal as time expired for the San Diego Chargers as they defeated the Cleveland Browns 30-27.

Lambo grew up playing soccer and was a goalkeeper. After an inauspicious stint in MLS where he barely played, he left his soccer career behind to go to college and wound up becoming a kicker for Texas A&M. After graduating, Lambo signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent. And after winning the starting job as a rookie, Lambo kicked his first game winning Field Goal as an NFL player. It look as if Josh Lambo already has had a better NFL career after four games than his MLS career.
