Watch: Laurent Koscielny scores controversial winner for Arsenal

It was a mostly uninspiring match, with both sides putting up a combined three shots on target. However, a late and controversial goal by Laurent Koscielny gave the Gunners all three points in their visit to Burnley.

Arsenal took a short corner and Alexis Sanchez crossed the ball into the middle where Theo Walcott flicked it on to Koscielny. The ball actually went in off Koscielny’s arm and the Burnley players spent the immediate aftermath protesting to the referee. The French defender also looked like he might have been offside as well.

Either way the goal stood, and on his 20th anniversary as Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger came away with three points. The win now puts the North London side up in third place.
