Watch: Leroy Sane scores his first Premier League goal to bring City level

Since coming to England during the summer, Leroy Sane hasn’t yet lived up to expectations at Manchester City. The 19-year-old from Essen has been hungry to get his first goal this year. It might have taken longer than he wanted, but early in the second half against Arsenal the former Schalke man opened his account.

City was trailing 1-0 and looked bereft of ideas as Arsenal’s back four looked strong in the first half. However, a brilliant lofted pass by David Silva and a little help from the linesman quickly undid all of the Gunners hard work. Sane, who might have been slightly offsides, received the pass, turned and softly found the back of the net. He’ll be relieved and City, who paid 37 million pounds for the German International, will hope it’s the first of many.
