Watch: Manchester United scores twice in closing minutes to grab victory

With Sir Alex Ferguson celebrating his 75th birthday, Manchester United produced a performance reminiscent of some of Ferguson’s team. Trailing 1-0 to Middlesbrough in the 85th minute, the Red Devils scored a pair of goals within minutes of each other to put them one point out of the top four.

United was pressuring Middlesbrough all game, and they finally broke the dam thanks to Anthony Martial. The Frenchman took a pass from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and had a clear shot on goal. The 21-year-old had a clear shot towards the net that Victor Valdes could do little with and watched it fly past him.

United looked like they weren’t done and a few minutes later the world’s most expensive player, Paul Pogba, produced a classic United moment. Juan Mata took the ball out wide and floated in a cross which found the head of an unmarked Pogba. United’s record transfer signing made no mistake and set up a very happy New Years Eve party in Manchester.
