WATCH: Kone nets hattrick as Everton route Sunderland

Sunderland were a team in crisis before Sunday’s match with Everton, as the hire of one Sam Allardyce would suggest. His insertion as manager didn’t exactly help though, and it had a lot to do with Arouna Koné from Everton.

The Ivorian forward had himself some fun on the first day of November, netting a hattrick to help propel the Toffees to a 6-2 thrashing of Sunderland.

It was a brilliant hattrick as well, with Kone hitting an important goal in the first half and putting the icing on the cake in the second with a pair of goals to blow things wide open.

He capped it all off with perhaps his best of the day in the 76th minute. Contorting his body to get on the end of a whipped in cross and heading it home with authority.

You can see each goal of his hattrick right here:
