VIDEO: Artur Boruc Howler Leads to Watford Goal

Bournemouth has been one of the surprises of this year and it is hard to hate on the Cherries as they fight for survival in the Premier League.

At the start of the season, you hope the recently promoted teams aren’t there for a cup of tea in the Premier League before bowing out that same year (unless you are cynic). You hope they get enough points to stave off relegation and hope small towns like Bournemouth can stay in the Premier League for a good while.

However, Bournemouth’s goalkeeper Artur Boric didn’t help their cause as his howler led to a ridiculously easy Watford goal.

In a series of back passes, Bournemouth ended up playing the ball back to their keeper, Boruc, with only Watford’s Odion Ighalo pushing up front to create pressure. Apparently, that pressure was too much for Boruc to handle as a simple pass was stolen away by Ighalo and Ighalo walked this ball on its’ way into the goal.

Take a look at Boruc’s flubbed pass:

Hopefully, Bournemouth won’t look back at this game and wonder what might have been had they achieved the three points going forward in the season.
