While you were watching a terrific Champions League match between Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea over in Portugal Benfica were taking on Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg in a match that well… happened.
The two sides never really got anything going and the match was 0-0 in the 90th minute when Zenit left back Domenico Criscito picked up what could best be described as a very soft second yellow card and was sent off.
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, Benfica promptly took advantage of 10 men Zenit on the ensuing free kick. Benfica launched the long free kick into the box where Brazilian striker Jonas Oliveira rose above the Zenit defense to head home the free kick and give Benfica a vital late win.
