Kevin de Bruyne may have shocked everyone when he gave Manchester City a 1-0 lead over PSG. The goal came completely against the run of play and no one really thought that lead would hold up for long. In fact it didn’t, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic equalized a mere seconds later.
The game would go into halftime even at one and if you were Manchester City you had to be consider yourself lucky that you were even still in this game. PSG squandered numerous opportunities, especially Ibrahimovic himself who missed a 1 v 1 chance against Joe Hart and a penalty.
It was only a matter time before PSG would finally breakthrough and take the lead. When they finally did, it wasn’t the first name you’d expect to be the one to do it. Edison Cavani’s header from an Angel di Maria corner rang off the post, but midfielder Adrien Rabiot was there to put home the rebound and give PSG a well deserved 2-1 lead.
