There was a feeling before the game that this was a night that Cristiano Ronaldo would do something special. We didn’t have to wait long for that to happen either as Ronaldo scored two goals within two minutes to pull Real even on aggregate with Wolfsburg.
With Real ahead 2-0 on the night, the score was even at 2-2 on aggregate, meaning if nothing else happened over the 90 minutes extra time would be needed.
However in the 77th minute Real were given a free kick in a very dangerous situation and up stepped Cristiano Ronaldo to do what he does best. Blast in beautiful free kicks.
Once again he did not disappoint.
