Watch: Danijel Subasic saves Sergio Ramos Penalty, Ivan Perisic scores late winner for Croatia

They say goals change games, but surely so do penalty saves. Danijel Subasic, the Croatian goalkeeper gave his side a huge boost of momentum and denied Spain the chance to take a 2-1 lead when he guessed correctly and stopped Sergio Ramos’ spot kick.

David Silva was taken down in the box rather delicately by Sime Vrsaljko , but despite Croatian protests referee Björn Kuipers signaled a penalty and gave a yellow card for the offense, as well as one for dissent to Darijo Srna. Ramos stepped up to take the Penalty, but Subasic was up to the challenge and he dove to stop the Real Madrid defenders shot. The save kept Croatia in the hunt to take over the top spot in group D, and minutes later Ivan Perisic scored to give Croatia a 2-1 lead.
