Scotland versus Ireland at Celtic Park? Things couldn’t get more tense unless we were witnessing Celtic vs. Rangers at Celtic Park, and that isn’t going to happen anytime soon (though the two will meet this season in cup play).
After 74 minutes of rather uninspiring attacking by both squads in their important Euro 2016 qualifier Scotland went all beautiful game on us, scoring one of the most brilliant team goals we’ve seen in awhile.
Knocking it home was Shaun Maloney, who bent it around the Irish defense and outstretched goalkeepers arms for the 1-0 lead.
