WATCH: After a disallowed goal and red card, Cristiano Ronaldo gives Real Madrid win in El Clasico

Things really picked up in El Clasico after Karim Benzema scored an overhead kick for Real Madrid to equalize. In just a span of a few minutes, Real Madrid got a goal wrongly disallowed, went down a man and score the game winning goal.

Gareth Bale thought he had the winning goal. He rose up and headed in the goal, but was ruled for a foul for pushing off to get to the ball. It seemed like a mistake from the referee as the goal looked legit and while Barcelona fans cheered the call, Real was not too thrilled about the call.

Then just a couple minutes after the disallowed goal, Sergio Ramos committed his fifth or sixth (I honestly lost count) yellow card offense and finally received his second yellow card and get sent off.

So, Real Madrid faced a disallowed goal that would’ve given them the lead and now went down to 10 men (though that should’ve happened long ago). But despite all that, Real Madrid didn’t let that get them down. Cristiano Ronaldo put forth a sublime touch from Bale’s cross and put in the winning goal.

While Real Madrid got the win, Barcelona is still in command of the La Liga title. Barcelona remains top of the table, six points ahead of Atletico Madrid and seven points ahead of Real. But for today, Real fans can celebrate the fact they got one over their bitter rival.
