Chile’s Arturo Vidal Crashes Ferrari While Under Influence

Chile’s midfielder Arturo Vidal’s great Copa America literally screeched to a crashing halt when he crashed his Ferrari late last night. Vidal was taken to the hospital where he suffered minor injuries and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Here are pictures of his crashed Ferrari.

First of all, most important, I’m glad he’s fine and he didn’t injure or kill himself or someone else. Second of all, exactly why is he partying when there’s a big tournament going on? Vidal is the leading goalscorer of the Copa America and a big reason why Chile is leading their group. Now, he’s likely suspended for at least the rest of the tournament (not confirmed) and will cause a big blow for the hosts. Just simply a stupid decision, and we’re not even talking about the actual offense of DUI which is even worse than anything having to do with soccer.
