In a game full of mistakes where goalkeeping and defending were apparently optional from both teams, Norwich possibly made the worst mistake of them all. A lack of communication and an errant back pass by Norwich led to James Milner being one-on-one against Declan Rudd and Milner giving Liverpool the lead 4-3 in the 75th minute. This, after Norwich scored on a penalty to lead 3-1 just 20 minutes earlier.
While this was no doubt a great, entertaining game for the neutral fans, Liverpool and Norwich may have found a way to improve scoring in soccer. Just make sure every team starts terrible goalkeepers and defenders and the goals add up.
