If the Puskas award nominees were announced this week instead of last week, this goal would have made the list. The duo of Luis Suarez and Neymar have been so great together since Lionel Messi’s absence due to injury that maybe he isn’t needed anymore (sarcasm).
The two superstars took it to another level today as they connected on this goal to give Barcelona the final goal in the 3-0 win over Villarreal. Neymar, who scored his second goal, channeled the legend Pelé and did a 360 spin on poor Jaume Costa before scoring.
There are just no other words for this goal. This was awesome. And to make things even better, Athletic Bilbao’s Iñaki Williams did something similar today against two Espanyol defenders. What a great day for goals in La Liga.
