VIDEO: Olivier Giroud’s terrific faux bicycle kick gives Arsenal lead

Going off of the first 15 minutes, it would appear to be that Arsenal was going to score first. They had a few chances and Crystal Palace was just getting by with the skin of their teeth. For all their power, Crystal Palace couldn’t keep this goal out of the back of the net.

Olivier Giroud kicked off Arsenal’s scoring this season in pretty excellent fashion. I don’t quite know what to call his goal, if there even is a name, because it looks like a bicycle kick but it wasn’t really. Let’s just call it a faux bicycle kick. Whatever you want to call it, it was definitely world class finishing and it gave Arsenal the lead over Crystal Palace.
