VIDEO: Panama Scores on Training Ground Free Kick Play in Gold Cup

We have seen teams try trick Free Kicks learned on the training ground before in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Costa Rica scored a goal like this Wednesday. Tonight, it was Panama’s turn as Gabriel Gomez passed the ball to Armando Cooper on the other side of the box. While open, Cooper took his shot which deflected off of Henry Figueroa and the hands of Donis Escober right to Luis Tejada, who scored off his chest to make it 1-0.

That was Tejada’s 39th international goal, extending his lead for most goals by a Panama player.
