VIDEO: Ross Barkley’s sublime strike seals 3-0 win for Everton over Southampton

Everton surprisingly came into the South of England to completely dismantle Southampton 3-0. While Southampton had the possession, they didn’t really do anything with that possessing and rarely posed a threat to Tim Howard and the Everton goal.

On the other hand, Everton were scoring goals left and right and their day was capped off by this Ross Barkley stunner towards the end of the game.

Today’s goal was a nice sequel from last weeks Ross Barkley goal. This terrific strike from outside the box last weekend showed some shades of Steven Gerrard against Olympiakos.

It remains to be seen if this is going to be the new status quo for Everton but after two lackluster games by Southampton, the new Europa League participants need to figure out what’s going on before it gets worse.
