Lionel Messi did something that hasn’t been seen in over 30 years. Messi performed an indirect penalty. As he tapped the ball just a couple of feet to a en route Luis Suarez, Suarez scored and put Barcelona ahead 4-1 against Celta Vigo.
Because you think scoring a "normal" penalty would be to undeserving for the MSN. #LaLiga #FCBCelta https://t.co/KQNoDppMGV

This isn’t the first time anyone has performed an indirect penalty kick. The legend Johan Cruyff, who has currently been undergoing treatment for lung cancer, did this at Ajax most notably in 1982. With his play however, he got the ball back to score.
Call what Messi did as being unselfish by letting Suarez get a hat trick or a fitting tribute to a legend battling cancer, but what we know is that this was amazing art. Barcelona would go on to beat Celta Vigo 6-1.
