Lionel Messi is already one of the best players in soccer history. One area where he is not known for is heading. With the style Barcelona plays plus his 5 ft. 6 in. frame, I don’t really blame him for not scoring more often with his head. It’s very rare when Messi scores with his head (as of February 2013, Messi has 12)and we have one today as he headed Barcelona into the lead against Ajax. It’s not one of Messi’s prettiest goals but it got the job done and now ties him with Cristiano Ronaldo for 2nd with 70 goals in UEFA Champions League, 1 behind Raul.
