Every week at 32 Flags, we count down the top 10 goals of the weekend. Well, it’s the top 10 goals in which we could find video for.
#1) 48 Passes
This was the ultimate team goal. Tottenham held possession for over two minutes and comfortably kept the ball. They weren’t in any danger of losing the ball and ended with a headed finish by Nacer Chadli.
Chadli's second goal vs QPR – 48 passes by tonythfc1991
#2) Mauro Zarate
Mauro Zarate may have gotten this ball off a deflection but he had no trouble volleying this one into the net and give West Ham the three points. This was a world class goal.
#3) Eibar
I love an underdog story and this is the ultimate underdog. Eibar, who has a stadium of around 5,000 seats, is now in La Liga fighting with the big boys like Barcelona and Real Madrid. This brilliantly taken free kick got them their first win and are now undefeated in the top flight.
#4) Ivica Olic
Bayern Munich still got the win against Wolfsburg but it wasn’t easy. Ivica Olic went all playmaker and drilled it upper 90 around Manuel Neuer.
#5) Seven Seconds
Bayer Leverkusen shocked Borussia Dortmund and left them shellshocked by taking the lead after seven seconds in the season.
#6) Stevan Jovetic’s Second
Out of the three goals Manchester City scored today, this was the best one by far. Jovetic’s finish was brilliant and really put the game out of reach for Liverpool.
#7) Sergio Aguero
Aguero couldn’t have a much better game than he had today. He comes in the game and scores within 20 seconds, beautiful game today.
#8) Stevan Jovetic’s First
The goal wasn’t pretty but I loved the goal because Jovetic didn’t give up on the ball. He drove through and earned the goal. It was the turning point to the game and the goal ended up being the straw that broke the camel’s back for Liverpool.
#9) Lionel Messi
Vintage Messi, that’s all you have to say. He became the boss in the box and calmly put this goal away.
#10) Cristiano Ronaldo
Last, but not least, Cristiano Ronaldo gets the 10 spot on the list. Taking the shot from distance, he drills it on the ground on some tricky bounces resulting in it getting by the keeper.
