Some rather strange news coming out of MLS. Jonathan Tannenwald reports that the company who runs MLS’ online store, Fanatics, has run out of the letter “X” for NYCFC kits.

This is certainly strange. While you can still buy Mix Diskerud kits, keep in mind that they may potentially be delayed although it doesn’t say anywhere on the site at the moment that it will be delayed. A hypothesis floating around is that someone in between Adidas to Fanatics wasn’t prepared for Diskerud to go by “Mix” on his kit instead of “Diskerud” in addition to unexpected demand caused the shortage. On the other hand, there very well could be “Mix” NYCFC kits already made and can be shipped out right now and all is well.. This sounds like they’re only out of letters. Either way, it just seems like a simple oversight that should be corrected in the near future.
